Get Artsy at the Coconut Grove Arts Festival

Join the Coconut Grove Arts Festival as they celebrate their 47th anniversary this upcoming weekend (February 13-15). More than 150,000 annual visitors gather in Coconut Grove to view the works of over 360 artists and craftsmen from around the world. Artists will display pieces in mixed media, painting, photography, digital art, watercolor, claywork, glass, fiber, jewelry & metalwork, sculpture and wood. This is definitely a signature event on South Florida's cultural calendar!! Meet with exhibiting artists, sample fine cuisine, enjoy live entertainment and stroll through the beautiful: Coconut Grove. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and admission is $10 per person (children under 12 receive free admission). Those who reside in the 33133 zip code only pay $5 with proof of residency. The Festival runs along the streets of McFarlane Road, South Bayshore Drive and Pan American Drive. FOOD ALERT: The Great Taste of The Grove

The 20th annual "Great Taste of the Grove" is presented by the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce at Peacock Park (2820 McFarlane Road). This two-day food and music extravaganza takes place this Saturday, January 9th (11 a.m. - 9 p.m) and Sunday, January 10th (11 a.m. - 7 p.m.). The Great Taste of the Grove offers live entertainment and an opportunity to sample dishes from some of the Grove's best known restaurants. Visitors can taste main courses and desserts from restaurants including Monty's, Bizcaya at the Ritz-Carlton, Chart House, Crepe Maker, Smoothie King and others. Last year's event drew 30,000 people so expect a crowd this weekend! The event is FREE. But, if you're planning on sampling the food, tickets range from $1 to $8.
